Gawker Media Comments Launches

I'm please to announce that Gawker Media has added comments to their cabal sites powered by some of our work.

Gawker requires registration to comment with a twist -- you must obtain an invite in order to get an account to make comments. Head troublemaker Nick Denton required that all invites issued to be transferable and completely anonymous.

For this project we developed a more more full-featured version of our prototype TypeKey replacement system called Tiny Orwell. We also added all of the infrastructure and functionality for user self-management and managing invites.

This system is completely separate from MT, but integrates with the system using the TypeKey API to power the authentication. MT's comment authentication system aren't just for use with TypeKey.com.
