http://code.appnel.com/ Launches
We're pleased to announce the launch of our code repository at http://code.appnel.com/.
Simply put, Code is where we put our expertise with Movable Type on display and make it available to you. Recognizing the need for a better system of organizing and distributing our software, we've assembled a lot of the useful code we've created over the years and packaged it up for public use. The site is launching with a dozen different packages that you can use to enhance and extend MT. The site also features Change Log, our weblog of announcements as well as tips and tricks for getting the most out of out software.
In addition to the new organization of our code, this launch also features a number of new releases.
- mt-categoryfaceted. Assists in the display and organization of a faceted category scheme in Movable Type. This plugin has been enhanced enable looping through facets and additional display tags to refine its functionality.
- mt-relatedentries. Adam Kalsey's popular plugin has been overhauled to address some bugs and improved performance. The plugin can now optionally list related entries previous to another like news sites such as CNet.
- mt-varz. A package of template tags for advanced template variable support similar to that found in HTML::Template. Our personal must-have collection.
- Feeds.App. After a prolonged beta testing period, the official release of our highly-popular syndication plugin and first commercial product is here at last.
The current site is considered a beta in the same sense that Google uses it. This is not an end, but a beginning of more to come.
We hope you find the code here as useful as we have. Your patience, support and feedback is appreciated.
